Terms & Conditions

 

Ordering:

Please read the "Availability" section before placing your orders. Unless discussed with our customer service representative and mutually agreed upon, orders should be placed in advance based on the lead time mentioned in the "Availability" section on each product page. We reserve the right to cancel short notice orders that do not follow these guidelines, and refunds will be subject to a 1.5% processing penalty fee (which our processor imposes on us upon for unjustified refunds).

Delivery:

We use our own delivery system and cover a certain radius within the Lehigh Valley, it is very affordable and the delivery cost is calculated automatically upon checkout. There is a limited amount of delivery orders we can take per day therefore we reserve the right to stop taking delivery orders once we reach our maximum number of delivery slots. Order pickup option is always open as an alternative.

Our delivery services are stopped for the months of July and August due to the heat season and all issues related to it.

Refunds & Returns:

  • Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide any refunds or returns for custom orders unless one of the following 2 conditions apply. A full refund will be issued only in these 2 cases:
    • 1: We failed to prepare or deliver your order for none force majeure reasons.
    • 2: The product got damaged due to a none force majeure, partially or fully, while in transit  using our delivery service.
  • Once your product is picked, or, delivered and received, it is considered “Accepted".
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to check their order once received. Refund requests due to spelling errors, color mismatch, decoration mismatch, or any other design related matters will not be honored once the cake is marked as “Accepted” according to the previous statement. If any mismatch is found upon receiving your product you can either request an amendment if time allows on that day, or you can request a refund. The refund in this case will be the amount you paid for that specific product minus 20% handling fee.
  • Cakes Terminal holds no responsibility of any partial or total damage occurring to our products once picked up, or, delivered and received or anytime thereafter. Clients picking up orders will receive verbal instructions on how to handle, transport, and store the products upon pick up.
  • Flavors and textures are subjective. Any refund requests due to flavor or texture will be rejected unless the product is brought back to us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup. That product will undergo a thorough checkup for the quality of the flavor or texture to determine if it meets our standards. In case an issue was found related to flavor or texture, the client is entitled for a store credit equal to the amount paid for that specific product minus 20% handling fee. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Cakes Terminal.
  • If you doubt a quality issue or defect in our product please contact us immediately by phone or email, and return the product to us as is within 24 hours of receiving it.
  • No partial or full refund or store credit will be issued for products that have already been fully consumed, damaged on purpose, mixed with other material, or thrown away.
  • Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.
  • The amount of refund will never exceed the initial amount pair for an item under any circumstances. And Cakes Terminal is not responsible for any cost incurred related to replacing our products from our store or any other stores.

Order Cancellation:

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the event date will receive a full refund, minus a 1.5% fee.
  • Cancellations made between 15 and 29 days prior to event will receive 30% refund, minus a 1.5% fee.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will not receive any refund.


General Policies:

  • Colors can be matched the best of our ability only when we are provided with a swatch. Exact matching is still not guaranteed, and no refund of any kind will be made related to color mismatch. Please remember we are dealing with edible colors and sugar, not with oil paint and canvas.
  • Cakes Terminal is not responsible for delivery problems associated with force majeure such as natural disasters or other weather conditions.
  • Cakes Terminal reserves the right to refuse delivery during unpredictable bad weather conditions. You will be given the option to pickup your order if required.
  • Cakes Terminal is not responsible for temperature problems that may arise at your venue causing problems with our products such as: melted icing, wilted flowers, collapsed tiers, or anything that happens after delivery or pickup.


Wedding Orders' Policies:

  • Bookings:
    All wedding cake orders must be placed at least 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding date.
  • Amendments:
    Changes can be made in terms of design and quantity, but should be done at least 3 weeks prior to event date, and are subject to availability of the requested material. No changes can be made within 2 weeks of the event.
  • Cancellations:
    • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the event date will receive a full refund, minus a 1.5% fee.
    • Cancellations made between 15 and 29 days prior to event will receive 30% refund, minus a 1.5% fee.
    • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will not receive any refund.
